Child & Adolescent Therapy in Perth

At Excelsis Psychology, our child and adolescent psychologists in Perth provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy designed to help young people and their families thrive.

We support children and teenagers with a wide range of challenges, including:

  • Anxiety, stress, and low mood

  • School refusal, transitions, and academic stress

  • Sleep difficulties and bedtime struggles

  • Behavioural challenges and emotional regulation

  • Attention and concentration difficulties (including ADHD)

  • Autism, neurodiversity, and social communication support

  • Friendship, bullying, and peer relationship issues

  • Family stress, separation, and parent–child connection

  • Trauma, grief, and adjustment to life changes (e.g. divorce, relocation, loss)

Our psychologists draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based strategies, trauma-informed therapies (including TF-CBT), play-based therapy, and family systems approaches. Each treatment plan is tailored to your child’s age, developmental needs, personality, and unique strengths.

Why Our Approach Matters

Every child deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported. At Excelsis Psychology, we believe in:

  • Personalised care → therapy is never one-size-fits-all; we take time to understand each child’s story.

  • Family collaboration → parents and caregivers are an essential part of the process.

  • Strength-based focus → we highlight resilience and skills, not just problems.

  • Practical strategies → tools your child and family can use straight away in real life.

  • Neuro-affirming practice → we celebrate neurodiversity and help children use their strengths in school, home, and social life.
